Living in Cumming, GA

Cumming is the county seat of Forsyth County, about 40 miles north of Atlanta along GA-400. It gives you lake life, mountain trails and a real downtown, with an easy drive into the city when you need it.

Why people love Cumming

  • Lake Lanier at your doorstep. Boating, fishing, beaches and waterfront dining, with public access at spots like Mary Alice Park.
  • Sawnee Mountain Preserve. Hiking trails with summit views over the whole area.
  • Forsyth County schools. One of the main reasons families move here.
  • Cumming City Center. One of my favorite spots in town. It's a walkable hub of shopping, restaurants and community events, and a great place to spend an evening or a weekend afternoon.
  • Room to breathe. Established neighborhoods, new construction and acreage, depending on which side of town you're on.
